Modern India has to be built on the plinth of equitable and scientific society. The annihilation of caste system is the necessary precondition for this. With this vision, Chhattisgarh Coordination Committee of Caste Annihilation Movement is going to conduct its third state conference at Guru Ghasidas Nagar (Vrindavan Hall), Civil Line, Raipur on 17th December (Sunday) 2017.
This conference will work out the outline of the future movement at a large scale. Consequently, a state committee will also be formed. The Chhattisgarh state unit of Caste Annihilation Movement has been very active for the last two years. It is to be noted that both Hindi and English organs of this committee has been continuing to be published successfully.
At present, communal forces have been trying to consolidate its hegemony in all spheres of life. Attacks on oppressed class and caste are on the increase throughout the country. Presently, number of incidents of horrible attacks by the castist force on Dalits has been seen in the states of Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Orissa. Many rationalists and anti-superstition argumentative activists like Gouri Lankesh, Dr. Kalburgi have been assassinated. These dogmatists have been trying to grab Ambedkar on the one hand but also been oppressing and banning HCU, JNU, BHU, Allahabad University, Jadhvpur University students. Moreover, the poorest of the poor have mostly been facing the brunt of the attacks of corporate raj.
In this situation, we are going to hold the first state level conference at Guru Ghasidas Nagar (Vrindavan hall), Civil Lines, Raipur on the 17th of December, 2017. The objective is to launch a country wide ‘Caste Annihilation Movement’. It will be attended by many intellectuals, youth, progressive journalists, progressive writers and litterateur.
