PUCL extends its Solidarity to the struggle of students of HNLU, Raipur who are fighting  against discriminatory curfew timings, moral policing, sexual remarks by authorities, rampant  corruption in administration and arbitrary University rules. Since the removal of Mr. Sukhpal Singh as the Vice Chancellor of university, students have been  protesting for some genuine demands which includes removal of curfew timings, freedom to get
24*7 access to library, IT Lab and other facilities of campus, strict disciplinary action against  faculties who are indulged in sexual harassment and corruption, removal of present wardens and  controller of examination, appointment of new wardens and administrative officers who must not
hold any academic post, publishing of Budget and minutes of meetings of decision-making  bodies on University website, etc. Students have put forth all the demands before the new Vice-
Chancellor, but he seems to be delaying them. It is very shameful on the part of authorities who  have responsibility of taking care of students are themselves not following basic principles of
Rule of Law in a National Law University and when students start speaking against this tyranny   they are labeled as terrorizers and lynching mob. We condemn this inhuman attitude
of HNLU authorities.

PUCL is proud of these budding legal warriors who are fighting for their rights despite of risk  involved in fighting against people who are threatening to ruin their career. We stand with the
students in their struggle for freedom from every wrongful element that exists in this premier  institution of India. We demand from HNLU administration that all the issues of HNLU students
are very reasonable which must be addressed without any further delay. More power to students  of HNLU.
